A storyteller first, Flynn Wilder Faye is a trans folk singer-songwriter from Santa Cruz currently in New York City. His style has been described as indie-folk, with a sprinkle of theatrical narrative.
Most known for writing Catching Fireflies: A New Queer Musical, Flynn still uses elements of climatic storytelling and plot in his solo career to capture listeners, taking them on journeys from far off fantastical places to simple ferry rides along the Hudson. Exploration of gender and sexuality are at the forefront of his work, as a means to encourage a more liberated and authentic sense of self in audiences.

Debut Solo Album: “A Hundred Little Things”
“A Hundred Little Things” marks Flynn’s first complete piece as a solo artist produced with Lorien Sound. The album explores navigating gender identity, an addiction to nostalgia, and relationships under the overstimulation of the city. Join him as he explores different genres to see which suits his voice best from rock to pop to folk, including a live bonus track from his 2024 show at 54 Below.
Catching Fireflies (Concept Album 2022)
Starting as a quarantine project in 2020, “Catching Fireflies” is Flynn’s passion project folk musical that centers on a writer coming to terms with his gender identity amidst his queer friend group of artists stuck together in Philadelphia over the 2020 pandemic. The show has had several workshops & staged readings, including a three-weekend Off-Broadway run. This concept album from 2022 captures the full unabridged score, produced with Lorien Sound & featuring an all star cast.
